Details on Infrastructure 
Vendini's applications are hosted and managed offsite by full-time Vendini IT employees at a separate secure co-location facilities in San Francisco, CA and Chicago, IL. Our facilities were chosen for their service, security, and uptime. These facilities are the premier hosting facilities in the world and are extremely secure and reliably connected.
INFORMATION ON SAN FRANCISCO FACILITY
Primary power to the facility is provided by independent 35KV PG&E feeders. Pre-action fire suppression systems have been installed in all building technical spaces. Six backup generators range from a 150KW to 2,000KW are installed per unit. All power passes through automatic transfer switches that seamlessly transfer power from utility provider to backup generators in seconds. Power is distributed to the various floors through a centralized conduit riser system. On-site fuel storage capacity for a minimum of 24 hours with contracts in place to provide a continuance fuel supply to carry systems through any kind of electrical service interruption. Buildings have 1,500-ton cooling towers, redundant pumps and condenser water piping systems. All data center space is provided with Liebert computer room air conditioners sized to fully condition the space. Access to the facility is controlled by a biometric fingerprint authentication and recognition system (escort required for all access). Entire facility is monitored by camera 24/7/365. Average uptime is 99.997% in a 12 month period.
SERVER INFORMATION
Vendini owns and maintains its own servers and storage. Server performance is constantly monitored by remote systems - accessed only by authorized Vendini employees. Servers are dynamically switched across dual Internet backbone connections from different network providers to ensure maximum availability. Main operational data is stored on primary database servers and each replicates in real-time onto a clone database server. Snapshots are done onsite each hour within a 12 hour window, and daily copies are held up to 60 days. An additional real-time copy of the database is held in a secure location offsite and is also only accessible via authorized Vendini employees. Sensitive data such as credit card numbers and passwords are encrypted with RSA 256 bit encryption.
APPLICATION PROTECTION
Applications are developed to meet very strict industry standards. Only authorized Vendini employees can access application information. Firewall servers protect all Vendini applications from unauthorized access.
Ticket Sales
All transactions that travel through Vendini (via your website link or TicketAgent POS) are handled in Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
WHAT IS SSL?
SSL is a system of encryption used with web browsers. For example, your patron's web browser and Vendini's server agree on an encryption key, and then all communications between the two are encrypted. This prevents the content of the communications from being monitored as they make their way across the Internet. When using SSL with a web site, the URL of the page you are looking at will be prefixed 'https' rather than 'http'. Keep in mind, that many pages served by Vendini do not expose the URL (where https can be seen) for aesthetic and marketing reasons. However, the page is served in https and is guaranteed secure. When your Vendini Account is in Live Mode, all commerce transactions are processed using SSL.
