Vendini's applications are hosted and managed offsite by full-time Vendini employees at a separate secure co-location facility in San Francisco, CA. Our facility was chosen for its service, security, and uptime. This facility is one of the premier hosting facilities in the world and is extremely secure and reliably connected.
Primary power to the facility is provided by independent 35KV PG&E feeders. Pre-action fire suppression systems have been installed in all building technical spaces. Six backup generators range from a 150KW to 2,000KW are installed per unit. All power passes through automatic transfer switches that seamlessly transfer power from utility provider to backup generators in seconds. Power is distributed to the various floors through a centralized conduit riser system. On-site fuel storage capacity for a minimum of 24 hours with contracts in place to provide a continuance fuel supply to carry systems through any kind of electrical service interruption. Buildings have 1,500-ton cooling towers, redundant pumps and condenser water piping systems. All data center space is provided with Liebert computer room air conditioners sized to fully condition the space. Access to the facility is controlled by a biometric fingerprint authentication and recognition system (escort required for all access). Entire facility is monitored by camera 24/7/365.
Vendini owns and maintains its own servers and storage. Server performance is constantly monitored by remote systems - accessed only by authorized Vendini employees. Servers are dynamically switched across dual Internet backbone connections from different network providers to ensure maximum availability. Main operational data is stored on primary database servers and each replicates in real-time onto a clone database server. Snapshots are done onsite each hour within a 12 hour window, and daily copies are held up to 60 days. An additional real-time copy of the database is held in a secure location offsite and is also only accessible via authorized Vendini employees. Sensitive data such as credit card numbers and passwords are encrypted with RSA 256 bit encryption.
Applications are developed to meet very strict industry standards. Only authorized Vendini employees can access application information. Firewall servers protect all Vendini applications from unauthorized access.
